20% off at A Touch of Whimsy

Have you visited A Touch of Whimsy Designs? I found A Touch of Whimsy a few years ago, and I have drooled over the beautifully designed cards, invitations, labels, etc. ever since. Below are two examples of what you can find. I have both of these designs, and I can attest that the quality of the cards and the design is awesome. I have also gotten lots of compliments on them.

I got these to go on birthday presents from son.

The card below is a Mommy Card. The colors are vibrant on my card, even though they seem dull here.

(FYI, my info is not on the cards above.)

Right now, Gina is offering 20% off orders $10 and above from A Touch of Whimsy. Just enter spring20 at checkout.

Hurry! This offer is only valid until Sunday, March 29.

Putting Money into Local Businesses

I just read a wonderful post at Moms Need to Know. The article How Frugal Should You Be These Days? questions the effect of hoarding on the economy. Mindi reminds her readers that spending money is the only way to keep the economy from totally tanking, and she specifically mentions spending money at local businesses. This summer we will be putting down flooring, and while we were originally planning to get it done by Home Depot, I'm now going to look into finding a local company to do the job.

I'm trying to think of other ways to help local businesses. I have to admit that I probably overlook at lot of them because I have so many "big name" stores in my area. I'd love to know some of the items and services that you buy from local stores/businesses.
