Home Depot Workshops

I just signed up for this free Yard and Maintenance Do-It-Herself Workshop at Home Depot that I learned about at Freebies 4 Mom. I'm really excited about it because I do not have a green thumb at all (it's more like a black thumb!), and I really need help with getting flowers that will thrive in our soil and climate. A friend is attending with me, so I'm also looking forward to spending time with her.

When I visited Home Depot's website, I learned that Home Depot also offers weekly workshops on Saturdays and Sundays. My husband and I are not handy, so I'm definitely interested in these workshops too! Below is a list of the workshops for May. Check here for more info, and enter your zip code for regional workshops.

- Spring Cleaning (regional - Jackson, MS area) - 10 a.m. - 11 a.m.
- Tile Floors and Walls - 11 a.m. - 12 p.m.
- Outdoor Power Equipment and Maintenance - 1 p.m. - 2 p.m.

- Installing Ceiling Fans - 1 p.m. - 2 p.m.
- Repairing Screens - 2 p.m. - 3 p.m.

Kids aren't left out, either! Kids Workshops are held the first Saturday of every month and are designed to teach kids "do-it-yourself skills and tool safety." On June 6, kids can build a hardware sorter and on July 4, they can create a picnic caddy. For more information, visit the Kids Workshops page.
